Scholarships

NDW Hawaii 2015 offers 3 types of scholarships for qualified dancers.

Choreography Lab Scholarship:
Rewarded to 2 dancers who has demonstrated commitment to their dance training. 100% of the Choreography Lab fee is waived for scholarship recipients. In exchange, scholarship recipients will volunteer to assist in our promotional effort, and to assist class registration and check-in at Dance Camp.  To apply, e-mail the following materials by August 31, 2015:

– Dance Reel / Video Web Link
– A 1-page summary of why you dance, what dance means to you, and what you expect to gain from our Choreography Lab

BIS Hawaii Scholarship:
Rewarded to 1 Bboy / Bgirl that has demonstrated his or her passion for the dance. Scholarship recipient will receive free entry to the BIS Hawaii Qualifier Battle, and all breakdancing and House classes at our Dance Camp ($100value).  In exchange, the scholarship recipient will assist with events registration at the Dance camp. To apply, email the following materials by August 31, 2015:
– a video of you summarizing your dance experience, showcase your skills, and answer the following questions
1. What is Hip Hop?
2. What defines a bboy / bgirl?
3. Why do you want to receive this scholarship?

Work-Trade Scholarship:
Volunteer for NDW-Hawaii and receive 1~5 free classes for each task you sign up for.  Tasks vary in difficulty and duration, and the Directors reserve the right to convert volunteer hours to class time.
